What software do you use for UX/UI design?

We prefer to use Figma. We should also mention this since get asked this a lot, yes, we can also work with Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, and Sketch files.

How long does it take to complete a website?

The short answer is that it depends on a few basic things. What kind of platform do you have in mind? Is this a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar eCommerce site? Do you have a pre-made template in mind, do would you like us to build a customized site? How much content, and how interactive your site needs to be?

Interactive in this case refers to the animated display of content and the navigation links.

Finally, the cost will depend on whether your site requires a database for content storage, login and signup, APIs, and other "backend" features.

How much does a website cost?

Depends on how complex of a site you have in mind (refer to the above question). Let's setup up a meeting and go over your ideas and project timeline.

Do you use pre-built templates or custom builds?

We use both, why reinvent the wheel? We also work with various JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, Next, and Angular.

What if I only want to optimize an existing website?

Yes, we can do that, however, depending on how your site was built or where it is hosted, there are always limitations. Typically, we'll optimize the images, using image compression, and edit your code to allow responsive images. We'll validate your SEO, and make recommendations for font style, and size. We'll also do a contrast accessibility check on the colors used on your site, then make recommendations.

Once my website is completed by CodeBox LLC, can I make changes?

Yes. If you plan to make periodic changes to the site, we will factor those CMS features, and maintenance costs into the build. We can discuss this in detail during your onboarding process.

What about hosting? / What if I want to change my hosting company?

We get these questions a lot, so we'll answer both. No, we do not provide web hosting, yet. The second question is a bit more complicated. Your hosting company will have technical support agents that can walk you through the process, and help you navigate their cPanel. We will play a minor advisory role, to explain the technical stuff, if you need our assistance.

Can you help me build an app for my business?

Yes. We can make web apps, which are web browser-based apps, or mobile apps. Mobile apps can be native (for either Android or iOS), or hybrid (for both Android and iOS).

Because of the size of our development team and the cost and time required to create these applications, we limit the types of applications we make to more basic functionality. We don't take on projects we know we can't complete. It's just bad practice to under-deliver to your clients. Additionally, publishing app platforms like Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and the Apples App Store require different licensing arrangements.
